So I figured that after all the build-up to social I should at least post about what we did. Jill, Jessie and I, along with all the other ooku girls had a fun time getting all dolled up. Ryan, Sean and Robb met us at our front door with daffodils (my favorite). Ryan looked great in his suit and tie. We had a pretty amazing dinner at La Piazza. The restaurant is a cute little Italian place with very entertaining waiters. It made me want to start waitressing again, but that's off of the subject. After that we drove up to Everett where the dance was supposed to be. Nobody was there yet except the few people mingling by ghetto cars carrying out a drug deal. We drove around the Tijuana area of Everett where there is a high concentration of mini marts. After a bit we went back to the place and had a great time dancing. Kilo Ann did a great job making the play list. Almost the whole house was there and everyone danced (what a contrast to my freshman year!). Good times! After the dance we went to a park where we planned to have a bonfire and eat apple pie and cider. However Jill and I seem to be lacking in the map reading department and neglected to notice that the beach was about 2 miles from the parking lot. Basically we spent a long time wandering along a dark trail in the woods while the boys carried a box of firewood. After much wandering in the dark and no sign of the beach, Ryan and I decide to jog ahead and see how far away it is. Running through the woods at night with Ryan was probably one of the best things I have ever done. It was completely silent and I couldn't really see where I was going, but it felt so good to just be running there. I really can't describe how great it was. It took us about 10 minutes to get to the sound. The beach, moon, and water were all amazing; I could have stood there looking out at it all night. We ran back, met up with the group, and decided that we needed to head back as it was already very very late. Even though the bon-fire didn't work out, I think we all had a great time hiking around. Back at UCU we enjoyed our apple pie and cider.
The End.
