Toga Party Part 2

Well, we had an especially busy morning at the restaurant today. Everyone came in around the same time (10-11am)to get coffee in attempt to lessen the hangover from the night before. Sounds like it was a wild night. Still, I'll miss all the riverguides. They are pretty entertaining and nice.
Today was also my last day at work. I'm going to miss everyone there. I'll be moving back to UCU on Wednesday, but it will take a while to get used to Seattle again.

Toga Party

One of the perks/downsides to being a waitress...I got invited to go to a Toga Party tonight. I guess it's a river rafting guide party. Either way, I decided that I don't go to random parties alone (not that I ever really go to parties :). And besides that, riverguides generally are synonymous with getting drunk. Not my style. It was fun though that two different rafters invited me. good times....

Summer Highlights

As promised here are the top three events of my summer break in chronological order:

1. I went shooting for the first time with some friends here in Yakima. It was awesome and now I'm hooked. There is no better sound than that of a pump-action shotgun, and, as a sheriff once said, no other sound will make a burglar consider a career change faster.

2. My dad and I took apart, cleaned, repaired, and rebuilt the engine for his tiller. I think I want to be an auto mechanic instead of a physical therapist :)

3. I got my own shotgun! It belonged to my grandpa and my grandma gave it to me. It's a 410 gauge double barrel. I couldn't possibly be happier.

That's it. Not too exciting, but it suits me just fine. Hope you had a great summer too.
